Description: This scope of the retrofit work included demolition of adjacent buildings to facilitate the retrofit, selective demolition of existing elements as access for retrofit work, soil remediation, hazardous abatement, and an intense seismic retrofit which includes the installation of hundreds of anchors, rebar, footings, shotcrete, steel moment frames, shear diaphragms and replacement of a severely damaged masonry wall fifty foot tall and one hundred and fifty feet long. The complexity of the retrofit made this project challenging and rewarding.
