Description: The work of this project entailed the conversion of the Del Monte Pickle Factory into a for rent market rate loft housing project.

Garden City Construction was responsible for selective demolition of the interiors including existing slabs, installation of a new mat slab, an intense seismic retrofit, shoring and replacement of existing posts, adding new second floor, saw-cutting of the brick exterior for the addition of new windows and door openings, installation of windows and exterior trim, masonry restoration, interior floor and unit framing. Garden City Construction was a member of the team involved in much of the structural and architectural design and performed value-engineering and construction methodology that resulted in cost saving details.
